| Are these ID camps legit? Got a personalized invite for my u14 DD, but I’m dubious. Anyone have any experiences with this one? |

Legit? Yes. Waste of $$? Depends on if your son wants to play college ball and if he's interested in any of the team coaches attending. None of those email are "personal" you are on a list and will continue to get invites to camps. |

I'd say it's a tad early to spend the money on these. D2 and D1 can't even talk to you until June 15 or sophomore year, but unlike the girls, boys' recruiting doesn't really ramp up until Junior and Senior year. At these camps the focus is going to be on the older boys beacuse those are the only ones they can talk to. It's good experience before late sophomore year, but you need to weight the costs against the minimal benefits at that age.
I don't think this specific camp is a waste of money, it's more that it's just not really necessary for an 8th grader to attend so early. |
