Anyone’s kid get in here outside New York State?

If so, what major? any tips or suggestions you can share on the application process?

Feedback on the college?

I think there’s some good info on Reddit about this.

Hoping somebody here weighs in though

It appears lots of people are waiting for Cornell decisions next week.

I’m also curious if any of them had kids who applied to CALS?

Mediocre. Kansas State, Nebraska University -Lincoln, Iowa State, Michigan State University and Purdue University have just as solid agriculture programs. Ag-economics and ag-business are sold fields

Not to hijack the thread but would love to hear about the ag schools at Kansas State and Purdue. DC is interested in their pre-vet programs but I have some trepidation about them going so far from home. Ideally kid will get unto UMD or VT but these schools may be easier admits.

Purdue is quite rigorous. It's a large campus of 40,000 + students with top notch programs. It's a well-respected program in the Midwest.

I am in graduate school through Kansas State University, and it's a bit laid bit but still rigorous. I don't know about the vet. program, but the urban planning department is amazing filled with solid, smart (many Ivy League or public Ivy league professors) who not only care about their students, but are available to them. It's a smaller college, but it's well worth it.

The Dyson business school is in CALS too (also in SC Johnson)….
One of a kind ag-business and commodities education.

Premeds go to CALS too. It’s not all ag. College life will be Cornell mainstream.

My kid got in this year to Cornell and they came through with decent aid — $30k/year. In the ILR school. Still undecided however.
