Small Door?

Has anyone tried Small Door Veterinary? Specifically the location in Spring Valley? We're looking to maybe switch vets and I have to admit their relentless social media advertising has me interested.

I'm sure they're fine, maybe even great, but I personally try to support Vets that are local and haven't been gobbled up by private equity firms to push profit. Our regular Vet fits the former, though I admit our ER Vet does not due to lack of options and proximity (VEG).

I’m also considering Small Door in Spring Valley. Would love to hear anyone’s experience.

I did in Bethesda, wish I hadn't. My regular vet is just as good or better. I thought the vet we saw was a B, another one misdiagnosed my dog. So why am I paying a membership fee? My other vet gets me in within 1 day. It's a dumb idea, sorry.

THIS. Make sure you're not supporting the rapacious PE profit gobblers. They do not have your or your pet's best interests in mind.

I followed Dr Fischer to Small Door Spring Valley and think she is excellent. I don’t like that they don’t have much flexibility with pricing like I’ve seen at other vets. Also, when you call, you end up talking with someone at a call center and not the actual location. Those things are frustrating, but I stay because I really like Dr Fischer and she will call me directly with test results and is generous with her time. The app is very convenient to book appointments and you can almost always get a next day appointment if needed.
