TM coach/Dir new WLC Hockey Director

Our kid is trying out for WLC this year and I noticed that yesterday they announced a new Hockey Director - Mike Donnellan - who is coming over from TM. And I see that Messier is no longer in a leadership role but is still coaching a team, at least as of a few weeks ago when they announced coaches for next season. Wasn’t he just promoted last year?

Anyone have any additional info to share about the new guy? And about the changes in general. Was it a shake up or more of a natural progression of people moving on

Couldn't figure out whether Messier is completely gone from the club, or only is stepping down from the hockey director spot. My experience with him as a coach is a little dated now (its been 5 or 6 years since he coached my kid), but I thought he was a really terrific coach, both from a competitive and a developmental perspective.

Heard Lyon was fired. Mike Donnellan was the director of TM for a few years and did NOTHING for that club. His teams have been unsuccessful and the programs he runs are unsuccessful. Maybe this time will be different.....who knows.

TM just announced Mike was going to be the coach of their 11u and 12u teams. Then all of a sudden 10 days later WLC made an announcement that he's their new director. It's very sloppy and doesn’t look good.

WLC had recently posted who their coaches were for next season, including Lyon as 2011 coach. But that announcement is gone. So I’m guessing gone altogether. But he seems to still be doing his own Lyon Messier hockey stuff out of Ion, like his Messier selects and his clinics

New post up on their socials announcing coaches next season. No Lyon. Mike Donnellan is 2010 coach and Kostrebski is 2011

Yes. TM imploded from top to bottom. Arrogant owner, arrogant and ineffective coaches and us many parents (myself included) wised up. And above poster dissing on Donnellan has no idea what he/she is talking about. He was the only thing TM had going for it. TM’s loss for sure. WLC is lucky to have him.

Maybe at the younger levels, but the U18 team made it to Nationals this year. At least from a competitive standpoint, I'd hardly call that imploding.
