Success in getting blepharoplasty?

Anonymous
My father had to have blepharoplasty a few years ago because his eyelids were so droopy it was impairing his vision.

I'll be in the same boat, I fear. Anyone had success with the surgery itself and happy with the results? Also, my dad's was covered by insurance - anyone have success in getting insurance to cover this surgery?

It's got to be one of the easiest and best surgeries to do whether medical or cosmetic. Dr. Rostami is the person to go to for it.

I had it done a few years ago and would do it again if necessary. So easy and such a big difference in appearance! Insurance covered mine easily

How did you get insurance to cover it? My eyelids are definitely getting droopier but I worry they'll say it's just for appearance and not for vision. Would love any tips - does it help to go to an ophthalmologist rather than plastic surgeon?

I was seeing an eye doctor for another issue and did a field vision test that showed I had some issues- he determined it was from my eyelids. referred me to ocular facial surgeon. It was super easy.

Is that directed at the OP? I am the OP. I have only asked the question once, to start this thread. Not sure what you're talking about.

Insurance might cover part of upper eyelid surgery, but unlikely to reimburse lower eyelid surgery. Recovery is generally pretty easy. Dr. Chaboki is good and will give an honest opinion.

Any additional doctor recommendations - particularly ones who are aggressive about getting insurance to cover part of it?
