How does one go about getting help with county resources? May lose living area/unhoused

What county are they in? Are they diagnosed? Renting or own current housing? The type of assistance will depend n your responses

He is not diagnosed but looking back at life I can see that at a young age he would have gotten an IEP/been diagnosed with ADHD/anxiety etc. we just found out he was too embarrassed to discuss situation—living in his car for the past few months. Job part-time no benefits. Fairfax County. He has no degree.
It’s very stressful and sad for him.

I just don’t even know where to begin to help? If I give $$ it will just buy time but no progress at stabilization.

Call 211 to get an overview of what social service resources might be available for him.

Maybe NAMI for resources?

Or the county. https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/homeless/M

Op I e been in your shoes for the past 18 months. It’s heart destroying. I will say you can help but you can’t be a full service social service agency. They need to also be willing to get help

Also can he apply for SNAP?
