| Principal Cox is on leave. Seems sudden. Does anyone know what happened? |
| First Lakewood ES' principal is out today on leave, and now Westbrook ES' principal is out. |
| This is the Felder clean sweep. Heads are gonna roll! |
Odd. I thought she wasn't making any changes. |
And there was another thread about Ritchie Park too. |
I doubt elementary school principals is where Felder needs to be making a clean sweep when it comes to MCPS. |
| Maybe she's working her way up? Quite a few sketchy middle school principals could meet a similar fate. Probably depends on whether anyone reported issues or not. |
| I think they are definitely going through any old harassment or bullying claims and revisiting them. Good for new leadership. Addressing the lack of accountability in the past is a necessary first step forward |
+1 |
| This is a lot of assumption. |
I hope her health is not the issue. |
That doesn't jive with Felder reinstating Lance Dempsey though..... |
Hum, these individuals have personal lives, health issues, etc. Has it crossed anyone's mind that they are on leave due to their own accord? The job is stressful one - when teachers go out on leave there isn't such a public, identifying discussion of them and their POSSIBLE circumstance. There is a lot of harmful speculation on this thread with "maybes" or "I thinks" and no facts. But what's a little fact finding have to do with anything? Geesh! |
Yes, but when she took medical leave during a previous health issue, a detailed message came directly from her, not a cryptic message from a county official nobody knows. I certainly hope her health is not the issue, and it doesn’t seem that way. |
When the reason is not veiled in “administrative leave” the community always gets a letter explaining why the principal is on leave. For example my friend got a letter stating her daughter’s principal was on leave just last week because the principals father had died. When my son’s admin took extended leave she wrote a letter saying she was pregnant and would be on maternity leave. When there is no reason to hide, the reason is told to the community |
