Blair student parking

What is the parking situation at Blair for juniors and seniors? Our DC has a long bus commute and so we could give access to a car for getting to and back from school, but how likely is it that there will be a parking spot available? It’s such a big school.

Call and ask.

Basically only enough room for seniors right now (&seniors get priority).

Apply at the beginning of each semester. Spaces limited as PP said.

Juniors and seniors can get a spot for pretty cheap but have to get paperwork in immediately at the start of the semester. If kids gets license mid-semester, has to wait until the next semester. Second semester is harder because more juniors now have their license. I know my DC missed out junior year because paperwork was not submitted within the first few days. Had no problem senior year.

I called the school today to inquire about the possibility of getting a parking permit for my rising junior in September, and was told that typically they don't have enough spots for juniors. Are there any places to park within walking distance to Blair without needing a permit or risk getting ticketed/towed?

No. Your child will need to navigate the process at the start of school and hope for the best!

I don’t think junior’s got any permits this past year. Only seniors.

I’m certain that’s not the case. If the student wants to walk few blocks they can certainly find residential neighborhoods without parking restrictions

I've heard that East County suburbs are sketchy!

My son was a junior last school year (2024-2025) and got a permit for both fall and spring semesters.

I've heard that kids park in the neighborhood across the street on the Colesville side of the school.

High school kids park in my neighborhood all the time and walk the short distance. We have a strict HOA, but no one cares about the parking. Public streets.
