7th grade gifted letters

| Earlier this year I received a letter saying that a 7th graders were going to be reevaluated for the gifted program at MCPS. This week I got another letter directing me to fill out a questionnaire about the strengths of my child. I’m curious if this is a general questionnaire or if that means that my child is moving on to the next round. |

| It’s a general questionnaire they give all who weren’t previously identified as gifted. |

| It's also not for a gifted program. It's just to see if your child will be labeled as "GT." It won't change anything in terms of their classes. |

| I received an automated message last night which stated only select seventh grade students were identified for the gifted and talented program, and to fill out an online form. |
