| JUST the whites? I eat them every day but hate making them. How many days do they last in the fridge before they start to get rubbery? |
| 4 -5 days at least. |
| 4 days or so. I normally make a half dozen at a time, peel them and put in the fridge to eat over the course of the week. It’s a great way to have easy protein to snack on always on hand. Why do you only eat the whites? |
I don’t enjoy the flavor and substitute avocado for the fat. Thanks! Sounds like 4 days is the answer. |
I'm curious: what do you do with the yolks? |
| If you like soy eggs, marinate your hard boiled egg in a mixture of soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sugar etc, then it will be good for 5-7 days in the fridge |
In my house, the dog is the winner of most egg yolks |
Lucky dog! Farts must be atrocious, though. Some other ideas - https://www.theleangreenbean.com/hard-boiled-egg-yolks/ |
Eggs aren't really a great source of protein. There's 6 grams per egg. That's the same as in a cup of cooked oatmeal. |
| I think they stay fresher longer in the fridge if you don’t peel them until you are ready to eat one. |

Have you heard about egg cookers?
https://www.amazon.com/Dash-Rapid-Egg-Cooker-Scrambled/product-reviews/B00DDXYC6O This little appliance is super helpful. It can make the eggs for you safely and quickly while you prepare other meals. Once you learn the right amount of water to use, you can also get precise results for soft-boiled eggs. And these are pretty safe for kids to use compared to stovetop cooking. |
