I have one Boss dress and another Theory dress that have been my workhorses for presentations and conferences, but I need something new and I’m finding it hard… can anyone share their finds?
I’m slim, XS, small bust, small hips, so body hugging works better than flowy options. Thank you! |
| Have you looked at The Fold? |

| I love st john and get it tailored |
| The Fold is a good option. You may want to go back to Hugo Boss and Theory. Vince might be an option too. If you want slightly more casual, DVF wrap dresses work for this body type. |
I’m OP’s size. J McLaughlin is guilty of vanity sizing and their XS are more like a size 4-6. At least that was my experience in the past when I tried on their clothes. |

I love my work dresses from Jane. I found them on Halsbrook but you can order directly from them.
They’re way more expensive than other synthetic dresses, I know, but I feel like it shows. The fabric is thick and drapes well and the finishing is good. |

I'm similar to you in size. I do like Theory dresses and suits, although the suits are sometimes they're a bit big and need tailoring.
I have these and wear them often to conferences with blazers, sweaters, etc.: https://www.theory.com/sleeveless-fitted-dress-in-good-wool/J0701615_001.html https://www.theory.com/sheath-dress-in-good-wool/H0101632_WNF.html I also have some basic J. Crew wool work dresses that are cute and have held up nicely over the years. |

I'm OPs size, and I also love DVF dresses (and my main blazer is from them, too.)
I've also gotten a few of my favorite wool skirts from vintage stores. size XS can have very good luck there (there were more thin people in the 20th century and the clothes hold up!) Veronica Beard is also good for thin people. |
