I’m a healthy woman in my late 30’s. For the last week or so, I’ve had terrible pain in my calves and feet, especially the bottom. Sometimes it goes all the way up to my thighs. Lower back can be involved too but it’s not persistent. I don’t see any swelling or feel any warmth when I tough the skin. It mostly just feels like really sore calves, similar to what one might have after a hard workout.
We traveled last week and I walked and stood up a ton more than is typical for me. Also have a broken toe on one foot. And I’m very snotty and tired. Any ideas? Could it be that I’m sore from the extra activity? Just seems weird a week out. Thanks! |
| Could be sciatica. I’m late 30s and suffered from this all year until I finally got a Microdisectomy on a herniated disk in my back. Go to a doc and they can assess you |
| Could it be the broken toe issue is causing you to unknowingly put more pressure on those areas you're talking about in order to compensate for not being able to fully use your toe/foot? |
| Op here. Thanks. I also tweaked my knee on the same side as the toe…could I be compensating that much as a result? I guess I could be shifting all my weight. |
Yes of course. Cmon OP: Tons of walking/standing+broken toe+tweaked knee= why am I sore and walking funny? Do you need attention? |
Is it in both feet? |
|
Both legs/feet. Most painful part are calves and bottom of feet. Also, when I bend over, the pain is killer all the way down the backs of my legs, including thighs.
Thank you all. |
| All the walking may have made your calf muscles really tight. This will also cause foot pain. Try lots of stretching, rolling, and massaging. |
| Thanks to everyone who responded. Op |
