So since I was the OP talking about GFR coming apart in Jan, and word is now out about travel GFR coaches putting together an outside futsal program & someone else with knowledge is talking about a former GFR board member forming a club with several GFR travel coaches, any of you people who were so snarky about denying all of this care to apologize now? 🤔

No, because so far all of the coaches mentioned as leaving (FA, GD) are awful people who terrorize young girls so good riddance to them both. GFR will be better off without them.

Exactly. Especially in an area like GF where they had to merge with Reston just to remain barely relevant in the NOVA soccer landscape. This will just prolong the demise of GFR or force them into a partnership with a nearby club to stay afloat and the new club will never actually take off.

Most GFR coaches wouldn't even go to Loudoun East with RP, you think they're going to go to some club that doesn't have any league affiliation? GFR coaches are well paid, they aren't (all) stupid.

If coaches leave or are let go now that “word is out,” will entire teams of kids be without coaches in spring? Or can a new club add teams to ECNL and NCSL/GA in spring? If don’t have private field, aren’t fields already spoken for for spring?

GFR coaches contracts probably run on a soccer year schedule like other clubs (July - June) so unlikely a coach is leaving in the Spring and abandoning their team/contract. Talk about a good way to ruin your reputation in NoVa.

At first, everyone was happy!!

Now it's only some "horrible" coaches leaving. The same horrible coaches who have 100+ little girls join their pre-travel and U-littles. The other horrible coach has the best girls teams in the club. Very interesting to me.

To keep the theme going, Winter is still coming, you've gotten a glimpse of the white walkers but winter isn't here YET
