Georgetown Alum Interview?

If anyone's student applied to Georgetown University, I would be very grateful if you could let me know whether they received an alum interview yet? The website says typically within 2 weeks of applying but we haven't heard anything yet and my student submitted the initial application over 1.5 months back. Thank you !

My DD submitted her initial application at the beginning of October and her interviewer reached out in the middle of November. DD says her interviewer has been busy but they are going to meet soon.

I am an interviewer. You should have received the email of the interviewer. Generally speaking, it is up to the applicant to contact the interviewer. If you did not get the interviewer’s email, contact the admissions office.

I am an interviewer. You should have received the email of the interviewer. Generally speaking, it is up to the applicant to contact the interviewer. If you did not get the interviewer’s email, contact the admissions office.

Thank you. My student did not receive any email and called the admissions office. They were told they had just not been paired with an alum yet. Wondering why that is? Are all your interviewees early applicants? My student is applying under regular decision.

My DS also applied early October although through the regular round, not the early round. Did your student apply under early action round?

Also an interviewer. Sadly, the interviews don’t make a whit of difference in the application process, so just treat it as good practice.

My sister believes her interview cost her dearly. This was many years ago. She said the interview was amazing and went on for over 1.5 hours. She said she tanked it because the interviewer asked if she had any final questions. My sister then asked (interviewer was female): why did you work so hard to get such a great degree to be a housewife? Room went icy after that an my sister got admitted to ivies etc. and is convinced that cost her an admit…

Hi, my kid applied RD from Texas. Got an interview in a week. But it depends on alumni availability.
