Multi religion churches

Is it possible for government to decline tax exemption for religious organizations unless all religious group are allowed to use their buildings?

It seems like a waste that Christians, Muslims and Jews have huge separate set ups in every neighborhood. Why not share and take turns, their big weekly gatherings are on separate days any ways.

Sharing resources may bring people closer and decrease the paranoia and conspiracy theories each has against other two.

It just seems like churches, mosques and synagogues waste so much money on buildings and their upkeep which actually can help not only people of these three and other religions.

If a church says no, they lose exemptions.

or may be higher exemptions for inclusive ones and lower for exclusive ones.

I am going to suggest you don't know as much about religion as you think.

No exemptions for all.

On second thought, it might lead to territorial disputes.

So you think Jews and Muslims would be fine with the huge crucifix front and center? And others will be fine with the muezzin?

Freedom of religion means freedom.

Tax exemptions for religious organizations are plainly unconstitutional, but the religious people in government don't care about the Constitution.

OP seems like someone who sees a house of worship as a conference room used once per week, and all the various faiths pack up and take it with them.

The crucifix and the tabernacle holding the consecrated Eucharist are on our altar at all times. The church building seems to always be in use for various groups, meetings and activities.

I personally have no objection in theory to sharing, but practically I don’t see how that works.

A lot of them do! There may be a Korean speaking church and a Spanish speaking church having services on Sunday afternoons at the same church that has a couple of morning services.

I remember once when my three kids were all under five years old + my car broke down right in front of a 🕌.

It was dark and I was terrified.
There was a pay phone (remember those??) inside the mosque & I desperately needed to use it as there were no call boxes nearby.

Remember THOSE??!! Lol.
This was pre-cellular times and it was not common for people to carry cellphones around.

Well because I had on shorts (it was summer,) the people there would not let me inside to make a phone call.

While I always respect different religions/beliefs, at that second I was so scared and desperate to call for help and the fact that the phone was so close yet I couldn’t access it due to my clothing was very problematic at the time.

So I cannot see what a difference same buildings could make.

Private property is such an annoyance. You should move to North Korea, where the State owns everything and decides who gets to use it when and for what. And no pesky religion either.

I believe they do this in Columbia, Maryland.

+1. Party leaders deserve the biggest houses because they work so hard to keep us safe.
