Do I have to eat this?

Kid 1 is sick and stayed home with me while DH took kid 2 on a trip. Kid made me a “smoothie”. It’s milk, a room temperature banana, a clementine, and sugar. He left it on the counter for me. Kid 1 is often difficult, but he’s so pleased to have made this foul concoction for me. Right now, I’ve put it in the fridge because it will “ clash with my coffee.” Can I ask him to add frozen fruit? Normally I’d say no, but we had a very difficult bedtime yesterday, and he seems to be trying to patch things up. It’s just so…banana.

Nope. Wait til he forgets and toss it. Tell him you drank it overnight.

lol. Op. How old is this kid? Take a sip or two and discard the rest so the kid doesn’t see it. Tell the kid it was yum.

Yes! Drink it and love the hell out of it. So sweet. Such a small price to pay for the good memories and good feelings he’ll have.

Fake it.

Fake it and give him a recipe to make for you tomorrow.

Take a sip and get rid of it when they’re not looking.

Omg just take 2 sips.

It doesn’t sound like it will be delicious, but it’s not a horrendous combination of ingredients either. If it were me, I’d pour all but the last two sips down the drain, then go find dc, thank him, and “finish” the drink in front of him.

I think it’s okay to ask to put some more frozen fruit in. You can make that fun and thank him so profusely for making you something/. Trust me—they will get older and you will long for the days when they made you soggy toast.
