Favorite apps for parents new to Club Swim

Anonymous

So, at the last Open (which was our first open) a BTDT parent introduced me to Meet Mobile and we bought it on the spot. What other apps do you find useful and why?

I use SwimTrack which requires you to manually enter all times but allows you to track your child across multiple teams including summer swim which isn't picked up by Meet Mobile.

In addition to Meet Mobile, we have OnDeck which is great if your club uses Team Unify. If your club uses Team Unify you log into the app and you can do your meet sign ups, track the charges to your account, and it has your swimmer’s best times in each event. You can set the best times tab to also show how much time they need to drop to get to the next time standard, champs cut, etc.

I like Swimmetry.

I was going to say Swimmetry is better than swimtrack.

Swimtopia for summer if your summer team uses it.

Kindle for when there is no cell reception at the meet pool.

For tracking times swimstandards.com and swimcloud.com work great. Additionally swim standards tracks and shows MCSL times if you’re in that league and plan to add more as well

Meet Mobile and Swimmetry are my two top picks.

(My kid’s teams don’t use TeamUnify, so I also use SwimTopia in the summer.)

I’m torn between learning to crochet vs cross stitch for the times I have no reception and don’t want to run down my phone battery.

I am seeing more and more knitters at meets.
