Lafayette feedback

May I ask for feedback from current Lafayette parents, what you like and don't like about it. We live in Lafayette boundary. Our child will very likely attend.

My child attends lafayette. I like the principal and enthusiam of the parents. Generally the teachers are very good and the kids are great students. They have a great art teacher. They have a good playgroudn and park attached. Go visit and check it out.

What i don't like is the open classroom (screams 70s!) and the building is just plain depressing. The kids don't seem to care about that though - at least at the lower grades where we are. They are generally very happy there. I think the upper grades aren't such a good place. The school is quite popular now and getting over enrolled too. Finaly it is DCPS with the usual now you have budget now you dont shanigans.
