Random WAGS q - who was the 2010 team that pulled out?

Anonymous
I heard that one of the teams in the A bracket of the U14s packed up and went home after the first game, which must have really sucked for the other teams in the flight who then had one less game to play. Anyone know who the team was?

TY!

Just look at the results?

I wish! It just says TBA where the team was.

Compare it to the Accepted Teams list?

That's odd to just leave. Were they out of town?

Also says TBA now. Unless there’s a news release or something I haven’t see.

I saw that. To travel across country for two matches stinks. I hope WAGS tried to find them a scrimmage or something at least.

Was it illness or something else?
Not WAGS but in a previous tournament we saw a team pack up and go home after first game. Coach cheated by using ineligible players. Still coaching which is shocking!

Op here- I don’t know— but that’s a crazy story.

It’s just a terrible thing to do to the other teams. Also, I wonder if it’s because of the three-team bracket? Because for a lot of teams, they already had lost any chance of moving ahead after only one game. Maybe the other team was pissed and left.

That seems like a ridiculous thing to do, pack up and leave because you’re irritated about a bracket. The families already spent all that money and time, my daughter be so pissed if her team decided to forfeit if it wasn’t for an extenuating circumstance. The kids just want to play. I hope that all is OK with that team because it doesn’t make any sense why they would leave if it wasn’t something serious.
