U7 purely fun games this week

Anonymous
U7 rec coach here. I’ve had an insane week. One of those weeks that makes me wish I could take a week off practice + call out sick, arrange for a parent to take over. I can’t because we had a fall break and prior to that a forfeit and a small attended practice (school fall break really messed the prior week up).

Can you think of 30m of just pure fun games for these kids today? I think it might lift my spirits. I usually plan out stuff but have had no time this week.

Op here,
I don’t know why my brain isn’t working.

I have sharks and minnows. Remind me of how this one works

I have freeze tag — We also did that recently and I could do it again / could see trying a diff game.

And isnt sharks and minnows almost the same as freeze tag??

After the vacation we took on break, my brain cells are seriously slow. Vacation hangover.

Ducktails is a favorite. Kids tuck a pinnie into the back of their shorts, then they dribble around and try to grab every on else's "tail" while protecting theirs.

I love mojo's playlists on youtube, they have great ideas:

If this is a girls team, bring the boom box/speaker and blast taylor swift. They dribble until they hear certain words e.g. summer or shake... and then freeze in place for a sec.
