post on the earthquake post re tylenol pm prompted this question. anyone find they don't care about anything (eg lack motivation to get up in the morning, don't feel bothered by stuff that normally bothers you, etc) the morning after taking tylenol pm? just wondering...

Earthquake Tylenol PM poster here. I have a really hard time sleeping through the night without help. I regularly take something and switch between Ambien, works great for me w/no "hangover," and over-the-counter meds like Nyquil, benadryl and Tylenol PM. I have found that, with the o-t-c types, leaving a shadde up so sunlight wakens me naturally greatly reduces the "hangover" effect. Have no idea why. Waking to a dark room makes it impossible to get going quickly. DH hates when I leave a few shades up as our bedroom faces the east. Tough. Its usually he (snores like a giant bulldog) who woke me up and prevented me from falling back to sleep.

Benedryl taker here. No side effects, no hangover.

Try melatonin. And I agree about keeping the blinds open to the light.

Isn't Tylenol PM just Tylenol and benadryl?

I haven't noticed that effect from the PM products, but Xanax definitely does that.
