Virginia Employment website doesnt work "Invalid captcha" and the phone line hangs up

This was happening last night also. The website SUCKS! I applied a month ago and still have not received a payment yet.

There at always issues with the site. You can never call for tech support either. You have to wait for a call back.

Nonstops issues with this site. Horrible. Waste of taxpayer money. Glen youngkin, fix this!

Their website sucks, OP. I have always heard horror stories about filing for unemployment but figured I was savvy enough to get it done. I'm now several months post job layoff and still haven't seen a cent.

Are they asking for more documentation?

I created my account on 9/5 and filed my first claim on 9/11. I had to call and upload identification documents. It was a mess. Finally got paid 2 unemployment checks.

Is there a particular day that the unemployment is deposited in your account?

E.g., on Mondays and does it lag 2 weeks?

Trying to figure out when I will receive payment.

I created my account on 9/5 and filed my first claim on 9/11. I had to call and upload identification documents. It was a mess. Finally got paid 2 unemployment checks.

First, my identity was in question and I had to provide copies of more documents than are required for a passport. Now, they are denying me because I established a legal LLC so I could take consulting gigs if I could find any. I have not found any but they are saying I'm not unemployed because of the LLC that hasn't earned a cent.

At least 50% of the time I try to log onto the website to do anything, it sends me a code for 2FA any time I click on anything. Then, after a few cycles of that it tells me that I have had too many 2FA requests and have to wait. It's maddening.

Unfortunately, I’ve had the same experience. I also get an error just trying to click on the claimant home page and throws an error and kicks me out and I have to log in again. And then it locks you out if you get too many 2FA requests. I feel your pain. Good luck!

I had the identity error and they finally sent me a link to ID.me and I think that helped

I also tried to upload support in docs but the file cannot be bigger thank 512k.

The whole process basically sucks. Whoever developed this is ripping off taxpayers. It’s a piece of garbage.
