I'm trying to get a quick lay of the land. My kid's soccer club moved to a different team management app, and I was surprised that it charges a service fee for not only credit cards, but also bank transfers. I have kids on a different travel sport, and their team doesn't charge for credit cards, or even for bank transfers. A friend with kids on a different soccer team said they get charged for credit cards and bank transfers as well. Most of the families are unaware of these charges, and some must be paying $200+ in fees for multiple kids in a club. What does your club do? And if you don't know, open your app and check! |
should be "their team doesn't charge for bank transfers/e-checks, or even for credit cards" |
I hate to break it to you, but every club pays the credit card processing fees, and every club charges you those fees. Some are up front about it (and show you the fees as an additional charge) and others build the fees into payments so you don't see it as extra |
Yes, that is why I said I was surprised to see ach fees. I’ve been paying private school tuition and club sports fees for more than a decade and have never been charged an ach fee. Until this one third party management app. |
