Raspberries and blackberries in smoothies?

Anonymous
Do these seedy berries work in smoothies? I bought way too many and need to use them up!

Yes I love them in smoothies, but you will notice the seeds

Yes! These are my favorite for smoothies.

For that reason, I prefer strawberries and blueberries in smoothies.

You need to spread them out with other fruit in a smoothie. You can make a crisp with those fruits.

You can always just put it through a mesh strainer before you drink it.

They come with accidental protein

Where I live, we have a ton of invasive blackberries, which everyone basically eats all summer. Blackberry smoothies. Blackberry muffins. Cobblers. Tartes. Etc. The seeds do not bother me. I use wide straws for smoothies, so they are not an issue at all.

This. I love raspberries but I would strain out the seeds. You can either make the smoothie and pour through a strainer, or you can mash the berries through a strainer and then use the pulp in the smoothie. If you don't have a mesh strainer, buy a stainless one on Amazon. They are incredibly useful.
