Trying to find a good place for beginner level Pilates classes. Appreciate any and all suggestions! |
Where are you? If you are in the Bethesda area, look at private training at Balance Studio. |
RTR Pilates |
Club Pilates was friendly to me as a beginner. Their contract terms were a nightmare, but that’s pervasive among gym contracts nowadays. |
Do Pilates at home, the result is the same, the body is flexible and the mind is calm, and this is just a drop in the ocean, what Pilates can really give a person https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/news/wall-pilates-the-innovative-fitness-trend-taking-the-world-by-storm/ar-AA1gSMIo, I really liked these workouts |
Love this place! I go to the one in McLean. |
Same! |
Machine or mat? |
I liked Club Pilates, but it was impossible to find a class that had an opening that fit my schedule. Based on how they did their sign-up, I would always miss out on a week or two of classes because they filed up before I could sign up. Club Pilates is good for someone who has a flexible schedule! |
Not knowing where you’re located, here are some good options:
Pilates Center of Rockville CoreWorks (Columbia) Epic Pilates (McLean) Excel (dc) |
RTR Pilates is the best on the area. Locally owned. 7 locations. Quality instruction |
+1 I have injuries and have to be careful, RTR instructors are the best. |
Toolbox if you work downtown or live in or go through Dupont. |
I really like Lenore's Pilates Mat class at Grace Studios in Silver Spring |
I think of RTR as "working out on a reformer." Which is fine, as long as that's what you're looking for. For beginners, and if you really want to learn Pilates, go to a studio that has all of the apparatuses, with instructors who are comprehensively trained. It's night vs day. |
