This brings back a memory. I was in our work kitchen chatting with a colleague, and pulled out one of the last yogurts I had in there for my snack. It was about a year past its expiration date. I went to throw it away, and she was horrified. She said she’d learned during her Peace Corps years that refrigerated, unopened yogurt is good for up to 2 years after its label expiration date. She took a bite to show me, and was fine the rest of the day.
I now feel comfortable eating the random lost fridge unopened yogurt months after the date on the label. I really think you can go with taste and smell if it hasn’t been opened, like most other dairy products.
