Our home has insane amount of spiders in every corner. I clean them and in two days, it again looks like its a haunted house.
I have a toddler too so Im hesitant to use sth aggressive. Any suggestions? |
| If you have that many spiders, imagine how many bugs you have that the spiders are eating. |
|
I try not to harm them, because I hope they're catching mosquitoes.
|
| I'm terrified of them. Pesticides can help, a pest control company can do that for you. |
| Dust and dehumidify. |
|
Train them to stay behind the furniture where you can't see them.
Just kill any indiscreet spider you see. Leave the ones that stay out of sight - they're great for pest management. |

We have a spider problem. We have a wooded lot with mature trees close to the house.
We have an exterminator on contract who comes quarterly. It’s not a perfect solution but it helps a lot. |
| Cleaners every two weeks. |
|
DIATOMACEOUS EARTH. non toxic and kills everything. I’d do it frequently for a couple weeks the treat monthly.
It’s very safe but you don’t want to inhale it |
| I would rather have spiders than whatever they're eating. |
| We had this problem in our former house. One weekend we bought several tubes of expanding foam/caulk and filled in every crack and opening we could find. It worked, no more spiders! |

2025.
What type of spiders? |
|
Are they cellar spiders? The little thin ones that set up in corners?
If so, those are harmless. I just vacuum them. |
+1 I'm also terrified of them. A pesticide company can absolutely help. We have pesticide co grade spray that my husband sprays outside around the house and that helps, but the pesticide company is best. |
This. Assuming OP is talking "house spiders" that look like tiny brown versions of the black widow, but are not harmful to humans. They have a web similar to the widow and find a corner and live there for generations if there's adequate insects. Killing spiders is bad luck also. |
