As I’ve completed back to school shopping and shopping for a baby shower, I am noticing a number of sites do not have free shipping these days.
I could’ve sworn years or months ago atleast more places offered free shipping? Or free shipping at like $50? Where has free shipping gone? |
Inflation baby |
If you are buying for a pregnant Mother & decide to order from KylieBaby, the shipping is free for orders $40 + up. 🍼🍼🍼 |
It’s still there. You must be shopping some fancy boutiques. I haven’t paid a shopping charge in 10 years. |
Gap and Old Navy have it if you spend $50.
Target ships free if you have a red card. Also Amazon obviously |
It’s all the same in the end. |
Not if you make returns. If you actually paid for shipping, you don’t get the whole amount back. |
Ha! How much does Amazons "free" shipping cost these days? |
Your orders must be over $50? |
I don't have Prime and I never pay for shipping at Amazon. It's easy to hit the free shipping threshold. |
This. Even then, a lot of the thresholds are $125+ and t getting an ad for 10%, 20%, 15% off but you pay for shipping unless you are again, at that threshold of over $100. |
Most large businesses still offer free shipping wouldn't order over $50 or more.
As a small business owner that also does e-commerce. Unfortunately, we can not afford to offer free shipping as the cost of shipping has increased significantly and with only 20-30% n profit margins offering free shipping plus the cost of the box and packaging materials decreases our margins by 10% or more depending on where the package is being shipped to. Many small businesses make the mistake of offering free shipping and discounts to lure customers and then either have to stop offering them all together or raise there prices to make up the loss. |
Search the store name + coupon. I almost always find a free shipping coupon that way. |
Net-a-Porter has free shipping but only over $150 and you can't find codes anymore. Previously I was usually able to find a free shipping/10% off coupon that worked. Zara charges for shipping/returns. I have noticed this too, OP! |
