Caring for an infant and a 2 year old is a very different job than caring for a 2 year old. The job has changed fundamentally. So yes, you need to address compensation again.

If you have a good relationship, propose something and get her feedback.

I think it's hard for people to give advice in another country.

Did you tell her you were increasing pay now in light of her taking care of two kids soon? If yes, then you don’t need to increase. If you told her pay increase was tied to inflation and yearly review then you probably need to increase based on second child. And, bottom line for these kind of personal services, it really depends on how much you are willing to pay and what she is willing to accept for the service. A lot of the calculation is intangible.

In the US we would do another $1-$2 an hour for another child.

Really? That seems low considering that a nanny share would be an extra $5/hr. I'm about to have my second baby and worried I'd be stingy if I offer only a $3/hr raise (it'll come at her 2 year anniversary when we'd be giving her a $1/hr raise anyway).

Nanny shares are a whole different ball game. You have two families' schedules and parenting styles to juggle. You have way less time off- when one family takes vacation you still have to care for the other child. You have two households to support and all that comes with that- two different commutes, bringing supplies from one home to the other, up to 4 work from home parents, two sets of pets, 4 sets of grandparents if they're involved, etc.

I do agree that $1-2hr is not stardard, but $3 is for an additional child. Also share families usually pay around 2/3 of the nanny's one child rate each. So if the nanny charges $24hr for one, she'll get around $16hr per family for a share.
