#8 for Langley lived on garbage goals against weaker opponents and looks much better in a box score than on film.
No doubt Langley will miss his numbers, but let's not pretend he was good enough to carry the Saxs to a ship. Our coach designing the system around a player or two every year has to stop. We have too much talent to call a season a loss before the first game is played. Ffs!! |
| Urbana must be really bad. |
You should be the coach |
What's valid is the programs who lack a "next teammate up culture" are less resilient. Indy lost 2 significant contributors in the offseason and won't miss a beat. Injuries are a weak excuse. |
Especially "developing" unsportsmanlike slashing behind the play and cheap shots across the field - especially when they're losing. That kind of leadership from the top can't be bought. |
Check his stats from max preps and come back to me. This is straight bs |
|
I don't really care for Langley but 8 is a great player - the kids gonna play in d 1 and play a lot likely. Nothing to prove. He's a baller.

You do realize Indy is going to be awful next year right? |
| Is this storm gonna affect games for Tuesday?? |
Perhaps your son should just be better at lacrosse and be the "next man up" player? |
Yorktown has quietly returned almost their entire team from last year. Robo has seemed to struggle a bit in scrimmages, I think Yorktown overcomes the special teams advantages. I also believe(just an opinion) that Randles is the best player in publics this year, don’t know if Robo has a good way to stop him. |
Here comes the annual “injuries aren’t an excuse” idiot. Of course they are! Talent is at a premium in VA publics, and if you lose one of your best couple players, it has a MASSIVE impact. You think West Po wins states if one of their best guys goes down??? As a matter of fact, if any team in ANY sport loses their best player, they get worse. Don’t know how that is hard to understand. You clearly have a 3rd grade level understanding of the sport and sports in general, maybe learn. |
Well, you are both wrong. Yes, Injury to a top player can and does have an impact, no doubt. BUT, if you rely on one player that much, you don't have much of a "team". |
Nobody is saying that teams should rely too much on one player. You’re arguing with a wall there. The argument is that injuries ARE a reasonable excuse for a drop off in performance, because that seems rather obvious. |
| Stay off the message boards players! It’s just not worth your time, hang out with your friends. Let us old fellers talk ball on this thread. Please! The trolling isn’t as funny as you think it is, I promise. |
