Which side of greeting cards do you write your message?

I write it on the left. Am I doing it wrong? Is there a right way, and why? Which side of the (birthday, thank you, etc) card do you write your message?

If I’m just signing or writing a sentence or two on the right under the card text. Anything longer on the blank space on the right.

Left in general signings, but if I'm writing an actual message to the person I put it on the right so I don't run out of space. Always still sign bottom right though.

OK this was me and I re-read it and remembered I always get R/L mixed up...
RIGHT in general signings
LEFT if writing a message
bottom right always sign my name

Hey friend, I quick pinch my fingers to think of which hand I would use if i were going to write when I need to do Right/Left. Not suggesting a tip in a condesending way, just letting you know that you are not alone!

The general stuff, on the right side. If I'm writing a poem or a longer message, then that part goes on the left side.

On the left.

NP. I make L’s with both hands so I can see which one is left. I never thought about your method. Even reasoning about left and right is hard. Y’all are definitely not alone.

I’m like most people replying so far, signature and maybe a quick note on the side with the message (aka right for people with directional skills) so it’s like I’m approving the pre written message, but if I’m writing something longer I start it on the blank side (aka left if you want to be highly technical).
