What a lovely book and conversation between Laura Dern and Diane Ladd. I highly suggest listening to this one as an audiobook, Diane's voice and personality is magnetic. It was fascinating listening to some of their stories of Hollywood, Tennessee Williams, etc. and of course the struggles between moms and daughters.

It was really good! New appreciation for both.

I know this is SO picky - but do you think they were really "walking" and talking, or just in a studio?

Also there was a part (minor spoiler) where Laura gets upset with her mom, and I wondered if it was real. Deals with a haircut.

I think they re-recorded the conversations in a studio after they took the walks. I wonder how much editing occurred through that process. But I still really enjoyed the audiobook.
