Trump just announced on Truth Social that he has received a target letter from Jack Smith, saying is a TARGET of the Grand Jury and that he has 4 days to testify before the January 6th Grand Jury.

How exactly does he receive a letter on a Sunday night? It wouldn't have showed up on a Sunday via USPS. It could have been emailed or faxed I suppose, but Trump isn't checking those personally. In any case, one of Trump's minions had the letter and they decided that Trump should "receive" it on Sunday night for maximum effect. I wouldn't ordinarily make a big deal of the timing of the letter given everything else that is happening here, but Trump seems to be making a big deal of it ("again, it was Sunday night!")

his attorney could easily have told the special counsel that he would accept service on a Sunday. This point isn't a big deal.
