Can anyone tell me whether this brand runs true to size or small or larger?
Child is 4 feet 8 inches and stocky and I’m deciding between YM or YL. Thanks! |

They have really good pictures of the sizes on soccer.com. Here's an example:

| Adidas works well for my very skinny kid, so I’d size up. |
| definitely the YL. My stick-skinny kid wears a YM |
| Will it be their uniform for one or two years? Size up if two. |
| I size one up in Adidas clothes except for socks, I size several up |
| I feel like adidas runs big on the girls |
Yeah my 14 yo wore a YL until this year. But she's tall and slim. |
| Its not a cabaret its a soccer game for gods sake. |
| Large or xl |
|
Adidas is a lot larger than Nike. Do you have any Nike gear you can use to compare? It's a size or more larger for youth. My child fits fine in an Adidas YM shirt but Nike YXL is tight. This is a slim child who is probably 5 feet tall.

| I would do L. My child sized up to a YL and it's really loose and obviously too large but the YM he had before looked small. |
|
OP here. I think we’ll go with YL. I’ve found some Adidas soccer jerseys in my kids closet and looks like he’s outgrowing the YM doon, but the YXL that his brother has would be too big.
Thanks everyone! |
| PJ's Sports and Rockville Soccer will let you try them on so you don't have to guess. |
Say what you will, but our kids uniforms didn't really fit until the THIRD year (thanks covid) of use. Would have loved to have seen that soccer.com chart then! |
