I'm stupid - can you please help me convert this recipe?

How do I make one serving? I have learning disabilities and am terrible with math.

4 salmon fillets (1 pound, total) (this one is easy at a quarter of a pound)
1/4 cup maple syrup
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced

Preheat oven to 375˚F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon, and garlic.
Place salmon on baking sheet and top with about 1/3 of the maple glaze, reserving the rest for later.
Bake salmon for 15 – 20 minutes, adding more glaze after the first 10 minutes. When salmon is cooked, remove from oven and top with remaining glaze before serving.

Thank you!

You are going to be dealing with such small quantities that I would just cut the recipe in half and have leftovers, since it sound good and could easily be turned into a salad or sandwich afterwards.

Okay. How do I get an eighth of a cup? I think my measuring cup only goes down to 1/4 of a cup.

1/4 of

1/4 cup maple syrup (this is 2 oz)
3 tablespoons soy sauce (this is 9 tsp)
2 garlic cloves, minced

is 1/2 oz maple syrup
2.25 tsp
1/2 garlic clove

but cooking sort of does not work that way.... I'd personally do

1/8 cup of maple syrup or 1 oz or 2 tablespoons (these all are the same amount)
1.5 tbsp soy
1 garlic cloves, minced

I'd put 1/2 on the salmon to marinade and use 1/2 after it is cooked.

This is one of my favorite salmon recipes!
The sauce is delicious, so I actually usually double the sauce recipe because it's so good and I like to have lots of extras to pour over rice or something.

So this is what I would do if I were you:
1 salmon fillet
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1.5 tablespoons soy sauce
1 garlic cloves, minced

Also... you aren't stupid! We all have different strengths.
Enjoy dinner!

16 tbsp in 1 cup, 1/4 cup = 4 tbsp, 1 serving = 1 tbsp

1 tbsp = 3 tsp, 3 tbsp= 9 tsp, 9/4= 2 tsp + 1/4 tsp

2 garlic cloves use 1/2 garlic cloves

Oh - this is PP - I also put a small squirt of dijon mustard. Just a tiny bit.

Just half the recipe for the sauce, OP. I almost always end up wanting more sauce/glaze than the recipe calls for.

2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1.5 Tbsp Soy sauce
1 clove garlic

Don't worry about it. The ingredients are all glaze. Make the glaze, apply to salmon, save the rest for some other meat of veggie dish.

That's way too vague.

Divide everything by four:

One piece of salmon
1 tablespoon of maple syrup (because 4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup)
3/4 tablespoon of soy sauce
1/2 garlic clove

No it’s not. Make the glaze in the proportions provided. Measure how much glaze you have and put 3/4th of it in the fridge. Cool one salmon fillet as directed. Use the remaining glaze for more salmon another night or drizzle over roasted vegetables or cook with tofu or whatever.

You all are way too nice. Certainly OP has THE GOOGLE MACHINE!
