Tutoring Recommendations

Anonymous
Anyone have a great tutor recommendation. We're worried about our DS beginning middle school this fall. His writing is significantly worse than our older daughter's and we'd love for someone to work with him 1-2 a week over the summer. Historically, our DS has worked better with men than with women. Any recs would be appreciated.

I don't know about tutor, but also check with school about IEP/504 for in-school supports. Do it now to increase chance of getting a class with an extra teacher.

Extra teachers are a bit of a game: if one kid on IEP/504 gets a legally obligated assistant teacher, the teacher has "free time" to help other students during the same class.

Stop the madness. Why would you advise someone to say their child has a disability when there is no indication of that?
