What age group? How experienced is your player?

2013 age group
somewhat experienced, but skilled. Spent most of tryout on highest field, held her own.

Well, they go to 9v9, so there’s definitely movement. I know a few members of that team and it’s a really strong one. No way to know for certain, but the club does a good job on the girls side of moving kids up when they see potential. So even if she doesn’t make green right now, if she’s looking good mid season they will double card her and move her up for the next season.

Curious to see how it turned out! How did you DD fare? Have offers gone out for her age group?

I do not believe the green team took any new girls for that year. But that means they promoted from within, which speaks highly for the club!

Related — what is the general level of play/competition for the PPA blue team? Is it really any more than a select in house league like MSI Classic?

Depends on the year and the gender.

2012 girls

The 2012s this year haven't been as strong as some others, but it can change a lot in one season at this age with girls. I'd take a blue offer and try it. MSI classic is fine, but she will learn more at PPA on a blue team.

Can anyone tell me where PPA practices?

PPA Blue 2012s play in the lowest EDP division (which some may argue is "better" that NCSL). They are 2-4-0

NWDC/Bethesda Generally. Anywhere from as far south as GW soccer fields off Foxhall road to north bethesda. There’s no predicting it, as fighting for field space with all the other dc teams means you never know what you will get.

(One good thing is that if you can’t make a practice in one place/time, you can generally come to another similar teams practice instead).
