High school military academies near here?

| What exactly are you looking for? St. John’s College HS was founded as a military academy, and still retains a JROTC / Cadet Corps program. Every year kids go off to West Point, Naval Academy, Coast Guard Academy. |

The two in Northern Virginia are Randolph Macon Academy in Front Royal and Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock. RMA's military aspect is tied into Air Force Junior ROTC, which I think is a bit unique. Further south are Fork Union near Charlottesville and Fishburne in Waynesboro. I don't have any direct experience, but Fork Union has been around for a long time -- I knew a gentleman who recently passed away in his 80's who had gone there for high school, and gave them a lot of credit for turning him around. But that would have been the 1960's. |
