My son, who loves tofu, is turning 10 today and asked to go to a restaurant with good tofu. Any recommendations? We're in McLean, but happy to travel for a birthday dinner. |
| I’ve heard Thanh Son tofu at Eden Center is great but I’m not actually sure if they have eat-in? |
| ps if not you could go elsewhere in Eden Center and then get some tofu to go— win/win |

Lighthouse Tofu (Vit Goel) for Korean style tofu pot -- they have locations in Annandale and Centreville.
Otherwise, pretty much any authentic Chinese place will have several different options -- I guess it depends on what style of tofu you want to eat... |
| Love the deep fried tofu dishes at Meiwah in Chevy Chase. |
I second this. |

Salt and pepper tofu from any Cantonese restaurant.
Braised bean curd with vegetables also from a Cantonese restaurant. |

Peter Chang has several tofu dishes:
Mapo tofu Tofu veggie hot pot Tofu skin with Napa cabbage or bok choy Stir fried smoked tofu with celery and bamboo shoots |
|
Four Sisters (Vietnamese):
Fresh or fried tofu sautéed in black bean sauce Caramelized tofu in clay pot with mushrooms or lemongrass chili Tofu fried or soft noodles with broccoli and carrot |
| I think the best mapo tofu is at Hong Kong Palace in Falls Church. |

OP, where did you end up going? What did you get, and how was it?
