Shots fired at Bradlee... STILL TRUE EVEN THOUGH POST TAKEN DOWN

Come on. Why can't we speak openly here about student safety in ACPS? This isn't a smear campaign, it's keeping kids alive JFC

Today's assault and robbery was in the driveway across from the Shell station. Assailants ran behind ACHS and the car dealership according to police. This was shortly after 3pm today.

Yesterday there was a shot out in front of McDonalds between 2 people in a car and 2 people standing at bus stop. People in car shot at people at bus stop, car speeds away and people at bus stop run away, towards Ft. Ward. Police apprehend people who ran by Ft Ward, and find a gun in a backpack of one of them. He’s arrested.

How do I know? Because my kid’s school was on lockdown.

This doesn’t even cover the shooting by the Braddock metro where 3 people were arrested also yesterday. Or the melee brawl, assault and robbery at the King Street metro bus depot, again, also yesterday.

That's becoming clearer and clearer. What still isn't clear to me is why we're not allowed to discuss it here, on social media, with the City or school boards. What could possibly keep people SO invested in making this otherwise amazing city so insafe?

I'm not Jeff, but I do know he stops multiple threads about the same topic. There is already a thread. Go freak out there:

Now I'm off to report this duplicate thread to Jeff so he can remove it!

Folks, I am a DC resident and not all that familiar with Alexandria. But, to the best of my knowledge, Bradlee is not a school. Therefore, I am not sure why posters insist on discussing it in a school forum. DC has quite a bit of crime, but we don't discuss those crimes in the DC school forum. That wouldn't make sense, would it?

Second, there is a forum named "Website Feedback". If you have questions about why posts have been moved or deleted, or haven't been moved or deleted, that is the forum for such questions.

Third, there is a resident of Del Ray who has a habit of posting very racist posts. I consider him to be a persona non grata and I remove his posts including those that may not be racist. He uses proxy servers to post here, so I can't simply block him. But, his posts account for a large number of those being deleted. I also delete replies to his posts if there are any.

Finally, when I delete a post or a thread, I have my reasons. Those reasons may not be clear to you but, if you insist on knowing, you are welcome to ask in the Website Feedback forum. Reposting a topic that has been deleted, even if you use ALL CAPS, is not going to change my mind. To the contrary, it is likely to get you lumped with your Del Ray neighbor on the persona non grata list. I don't like removing topics. I like removing them a second or third time even less. So, your cooperation is appreciated.
