I want to make some homemade chicken tenders in the air fryer. I bought a big package of pre-cut chicken tenders. It seems like each piece has a big tendon in it. Do I need to remove the tendons? If so, how? This seems like a lot of prep work. Can you buy chicken tenders with the tendon already removed?
Just buy a package of them at Trader Joe's. Those will be perfect.

Loving a Food 52 recipe that uses chicken thighs- I am no longer cutting into strips. Everyone is happier to see big piece of yummy, panko and Parmesan crusted piece of chicken on their plate. I cut mine into strips at the table. Ok maybe less crust, but we’re fine with that. Faster to the dinner table
i just cut off the thick part that is sticking out of the tender. it's fine if you do that.
You don’t need to remove them. They are edible. They cook up a little tougher than the rest of the meat. If you are breading them, your kids might not even notice. I’d serve them with tendons and see if anyone notices. |

This is why I don’t buy then. Just cut up chicken breasts.
