Let's say you go into one of those nice chocolate shops that sell chocolate and truffles by the pound. You're picking out a piece or two for yourself. What do you buy?
Dark chocolate marzipan. Dark chocolate raspberry cream, or toffee. |
| Milk chocolate with almonds |
|
Chocolate covered nougats (not rum). Maybe a dark chocolate raspberry or orange cream, or vanilla, depending on my mood.
A friend once told me, “you like the weird chocolates no one else wants” and she has a point. |
| Turtles, vanilla creams, champagne truffles, caramels, plain chocolate. All milk, no dark. |
Was coming here to say this - chocolate almond bark, both milk and dark. |
| Something milk chocolate with mint |
| I love non parents and chocolate marshmallows, prefer dark. Chocolate pretzels are good too |
Pareils not parents |
| Amaretto or Grand Marnier truffles. Dark chocolate covered orange peels. Ristretto chocolates. |
| Dark chocolate with hazelnuts |
| Only milk chocolate vanilla buttercreams, and I have a tough time finding a shop that has some that I really like. When I do I buy a pound, and I try to make it last awhile but that's tough too. |

| Marzipan. One of my cherished memories is going into a chocolate shop in the Copenhagen suburbs with my friend. We walked into the small shop--where there were no other customers--and her friend was the sole employee working the counter. My friend began to ask for many things in Danish and then asked me what I wanted. I expressed concern about the cost and they made me understand that we were getting the chocolate for free. We got so many treats. Literally a dream come true. |
