Watched this reality TV show Farmer wants a Wife last night on Fox after masked singer. About four single Farmers looking for a wife.
One women who passed first cut and will be in next week’s show is from Potomac Maryland. Wonder if anyone on DCUM knows her? |
Goodness. Who would ever want to be a farmer's wife? |
I gave it a shot but found it to be pretty boring.
They didn't really introduce any of the farmers or women which I found odd. It didn't give me anyone to root for which makes it boring. I need to care about someone on the show to want to watch it - a reason to root for them! |
All those show are very scripted and the producers ask contestants to purposely create drama or embellish....bc you know, that means conflict and brings in ratings.
So fake it's cringe. |
The show was originally done in Australia with the same name. Watched it a lot during lockdown. The farmers were hot and it was interesting to learn about some cool isolateD places in Australia. The drama seem to be about the fact that most of the farmers are pretty rich with their own farm But whoever married them would have to live in the middle of nowhere In a really remote place and the guys seem really skeptical most of the women would actually commit to that |
Yeah they have a point - I’ve worked in the outback and it ain’t for the faint of heart … |
Lots of women. What is wrong with farmers? |
Claim they have more marriages and kids than the other shows |
I always wanted to marry a farmer. A Gentleman Farmer. I never met one so married a man who thought potatoes grew on potato bushes. |
Not every woman is an extrovert who likes cities. |
Civilizations are for introverts too. |
I watched it and thought it was boring. Also, the farmers were skeevy and I got tired of them referring to grown-ass women as, "girls." |
They're very hard workers, own lots of land and have SPACE, own a house, why not? |
40+ years in NYC and DC and I'm over it. I'm married now but if I were single I would totally give a farmer a shot. |
God I would hate to live on a farm! |
