Secondary Carding EDP

My DC is currently on a team that is struggling to field a team for games. Practices have become subpar with less then 8 players showing up. Team has not been able to participate in tournaments due to low numbers. DC is frustrated, and has an offer to join another EDP team, playing 2 years up. We do not want to leave current team in worse shape than they already are, but a checked out coach, subpar practices, and a season of games playing down or with 1 sub, or even forfeited when we are paying travel team dues is not optimal. Before we discuss with the team manager, I wanted to see if anyone here could answer a couple questions:

- can we get secondary carded to new team, and finish out games with other team for the season if they are both EDP teams? Teams are in different age brackets.
- if not, can we play with new team for Maryland State Cup games?

Any feedback on how to handle this situation is appreciated. Current team has great kids, great families, and it's a shame that it is falling apart.

You're not going to be able to be on two different clubs in same league at the same time. You may be able to jump to a new club though as long as they haven't submitted their rosters yet for state cup. More importantly, I would just use this spring to study up on available clubs in your area and find the right fit for your child. Since all the parents are invested, it sounds like the club really let you down.
