Who uses mobile ordering?

Anonymous
I know this is a dumb question, but I'm not very creative. When I’m out and about, I’m always driving, and can’t play a mobile order. Even a red light light isn't long enough, and placing it at work and picking it up doesn't seem to save much time. But when I go into Starbucks or wherever, there are tons of orders waiting. Just curious what kind of lifestyle or schedule lends itself this mobile ordering.

Just pull over. Literally takes 30 seconds.

Not sure how that doesn’t make sense to you. If you order once you get to the store you then wait 5-10 mins for the order to be made. Place it before you leave then it’s ready by the time you get there, not get there + 5-10 mins.

I guess because the nearest Starbucks to my office is 15+ minutes away.

+1 This isn’t rocket science. Place before you go. Place in between errands when parked. Or pull over.

I use it before I leave my last location. Your fave locations and orders are saved so you can place the order in a few clicks.

I guess it is to me. Pull over...where? How do you account for traffic that might force you to leave your drink sitting there for 20+ minutes after it's made?

I live about a 10- min drive from my local coffee shop. I place the order as soon as I get in my car in the morning.

You can set a pick up time with most apps. And even if you can’t you are still taking 15 mins to get there, then waiting in line, then waiting for it to be made. That can be another 15 mins.

Then maybe it doesn't make sense for you in that particular circumstance. What does this have to do with "lifestyle"?

Oh boy. Life is tough for you I see.

I also order it extra hot just in case I’m delayed.

OP is just intentionally obtuse.

Huh? I pull over if I need to and place my order. With mobile, I can park in curbside or have my kid run in and get it without standing around waiting in the store. The downside is, of course, if they make a mistake I’m less likely to catch it before it’s too late
