Does anyone have this bra, or fabric knowledge to know if I could potentially wear underneath a swimsuit? https://skims.com/products/ultra-fine-mesh-underwire-scoop-bra-bronze -- - or have another bra you'd recommend for this use?
In my mind it's exactly what I need - no padding and thin fabric that won't hold water. I have a couple swimsuits I love and are high quality, though have too little support to really be comfortable. I am a DD, so "shelf bra" is useless and unlike those with smaller chests I'm actually more comfortable in a bra than without. |
Why don’t you just get a new swimsuit with support. I feel like this would be so uncomfortable. And I’d be worried about the bra peeking out. |
I have found that any spandex bra works under a swimsuit as long as it's not padded. Personally, I have never found a swimsuit with enough support so I bought one that works over my existing bra. (Honestly, I just wear a swim shirt with a bottom.) |
The swimsuits that are made by lingerie companies (Fantasie, Freya, etc.) have hidden underwires that provide support without padded cups. Check those out. |
Lands End has suits with actual support. |
OP here - thanks for the recommendations! I'll check those out.
I'm not fully opposed to buying a new suit, I just wish I could wear the ones I have already more comfortably. Suits with built-in support tend to either be way too busty, too grandma-y, or not fit right since my size ratio isn't common. |
Size ratio…? Unfortunately I’m an I cup. Curvy like Christina Hendricks. |
I bet this would work. It’s super thin but supportive.

I just looked up Christina Hendricks measurements, and I am actually super close! After two kids, my breasts don’t have much lift in them, hence the need for help |
