| The kind you pay. . . I’m trying to figure out if I should buy it to join some teams calls tomorrow, or just plan on missing the calls. |
| Just don't. It's rude. |
| A teams call you are listening in on or participating in? |
|
I definitely wouldn't rely on it.
And wouldn't feel comfortable doing it if I had to talk. Just to listen, you might get lucky and it could work. |
| Whoa. Rude much? |
| Don’t rely on it. And I really hope you weren’t planning on speaking. |
| I just flew United last week and one of the legs the wifi didn't even work at all. If you do this, please do it only in listen-only mode. |
| Listening with headphones. |
What is rude about listening to a call? |
|
Skip the call. It won't work well at all.
Also some wifi providers on airplanes block Teams. I think it works on United, but not some European carriers. |
| Don’t count on it if it even works at all |
| MS Teams brings the call quality down to the worst device on the call. MS shared this with my Mega Corp recently. So your poor experience will really degrade the call for all. They are working on this but I was surprised to hear this. |

Don’t rely on it. Flew two weeks ago DEN-IAD and we had no wifi and thus no personal entertainment for the entire flight. I was so pissed because I just really wanted to watch a movie in peace (have kids at home, rarely have time to sit and watch a movie by myself, etc.)
It was annoying too because they knew the wifi had been down on the prior flights and “ground crew were supposed to fix it” during the layover. So yeah, don’t be the douche on Teams on the plane. |
| Wont work. United blocks MS Teams. You should be able to get around it with a company VPN which routes all traffic through the VPN network. |
| It doesn’t work on United. |
