DD is starting K in the fall, and after a nut-free preschool, I am really hoping I can pack PBJ for her lunch, since that is about the only sandwich she will eat. I couldn't find this information on the website--is MCPS nut-free?

I believe products with nuts are allowed. My understanding is that kids with allergies sit at a different table during lunch. |
Thanks!

MCPS is not nut-free. The school cafeterias actually serve PBJ for lunch every day. DS has a peanut/tree nut allergy and is also staring K in the fall. Our ES has a nut free table. So that is their solution to keep the nuts away from the allergic. |
nope
I had to learn how to use an epi pen b/c I had a student with a severe nut allergy. The teachers will receive a confidential list of students with allergies and other physical conditions that may affect them so that they're aware of anything that could potentially happen. |
I totally expected to open this thread and read about nut-job parents or teachers or something at MCPS. LOL! |
LOL -- I was going to post of course not, it's got Jerry Weast. ![]() |
Yes, all the nuts go to landon |
Let me guess, you don't like him because he leas one of the best and largest school systems in the country and you can do a better job? |
Yes, the poster probably could. |

Do you actually live in Montgomery County or just believe what their $10 million PR department churns out? |
Landon would do well to emulate MC's PR department. LOL ![]() |
