Best Christmas stocking stuffers for teens and adults

Anonymous
I'm taking notes for what went well this year for Christmas as my kids are now in college.
I realized that they really enjoyed their stocking stuffers and we need to do more of them -- smaller presents that are fun and useful.
Did you or your older kids give or get any stocking stuffers this year that went over quite well?

My teen & college student still love the “coal” I put in their stocking. It’s a family favorite:

I always give DH a set of his favorite pens (fine tip sharpies) and a new set of whiteboard pens for his brainstorming, plus stacks of post it notes because he goes through those like crazy. Also an apple charging cable because they get worn/lost each year.

My stocking usually has a pair or two of earrings and color street nail strips

I don’t know why, but OXO mini tongs went over well with our 20-26 crowd.

Lottery tickets and small gift cards are always a hit for us - once of age we might throw in little booze bottles.

My older kids (18+) liked face creams and makeup they like but can't always afford, underwear (they hate buying it themselves!), gum, coffee mug, books, cocktail ice cube trays (the big sphere cubes), candles, usb electric lighters (to light the candles), la neige lip serum, olaplex shampoo, socks, rings (I don't worry about size because they will wear on whatever finger fits), fancy bags of popcorn with chocolate drizzle, rolled up t-shirts, etc.

OP here -- also I'm looking for food/treat ideas that can fit in the stocking.

Our family tradition going back three generations+ has always been to put an apple and an orange in the toe of the stocking so I'm not going to stop that. But I admit it isn't really exciting! It was exciting for me when I was a kid, because fresh fruit in December was a novelty for us, and Santa always brought the "good" fruit but, times are different for my kids.

But they don't eat chocolate Santas any more and barely eat chocolate but I haven't found any other goodies that would be interesting.

Mine are 18-24. Biggest hits were the Shashibo shape shifting box which I saw on some Insta add. They literally can't stop playing with them and you can hook them together. Also shower steamers. Even my boys loved those.

Kind bars
Truffles-individually wrapped
JellyBelly jelly beans
A tablet of Abuelita Mexican hot chocolate (it’s the best! Google it if you’ve never heard of it)
