Christmas Eve Dinner - restaurant recommendations

Anonymous
We're eating out on Christmas Eve - I was originally thinking something like Capital Grille/steakhouse, but need to dial it back a little. We love Patsy's in Tyson's, but I was hoping to branch out. That would be around the price point, however. Any suggestions?

Everyone will eat steak, we have one that doesn't love seafood, but pretty much everything else is on the table. Would prefer Vienna, Tyson's, Falls Church.

Thanks!

J. Gilberts in McLean is open on Christmas Eve and might be a good match.

Randy's near Tyson's is open, too, but I am not sure that is dialing back much from Capital Grille. I'd say the same about Trio if Falls Church.

Maybe Sweetwater Tavern in Falls Church -- it is a Great American Restaurant, like Patsy's so has some of the same menu items and is always really nicely decorated for the holidays. Peking Gourmet Inn in Falls Church is always a fund special occasiona restaurant. La Cote D'Or in Arlington (but very near in to Falls Church) has a special Christmas Eve menu.

Maybe Wildfire? We've eaten at American Prime and it was decent (the service was slow, but I think they had just opened.)

Other suggestions that aren't steak would be Maggiano's, Founding Farmers, or Seasons 52. Or you could go to Merrifield for something like Ted's Bulletin or Alta Strada.

Bazin's on Church in Vienna is another good one.

Many of these places are already booked (we have been looking too). We went to J Gilberts a few years ago and had a nice time.

I just looked on Open Table. Seasons 52 and American Prime are showing openings.

North Italia in Tysons?

In DC, but St. Anselm has reservations available and they're excellent. Steak for sure but more laid back than most steak houses and plenty of other options.
